Dear friends:
a
We are pleased to share with you issue # 4 of our e-bulletin InfoDiálogo. We have included a summary of our support work in Argentina, Bolivia, Guatemala, Mexico and Nicaragua during the last 3 months, and a knowledge capsule about the Integral Approach, a concept we are applying in our capacity building for dialogue component. We also want to share with you some insights, from the practice, into Dialogue and Democracy, and we offer information about the event that will be soon hold in France in the framework of the process Reinventing Globalization 2006, and about the Regional Seminar of Political Parties in Nicaragua. This time we have also included two notes on recent publications that will surely be of great interest: "The Politics of Policies" by IDB and "Mapping Dialogue" of Pioneers of Change.

Director - Democratic Dialogue Regional Project
.In 2001, the UNDP Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean (RBLAC) established the Democratic Dialogue Project based in Guatemala. Since then, it constitutes an active service instrument to dialogue initiatives promoted by the country offices of Latin America and the Caribbean. It develops, disseminates and applies diverse social technologies to support conflict prevention and management efforts, as well as consensus building in the democracies of the region. The Project compiles, systematizes experiences, lessons learned and good practices; it brings technical advice to meet specific needs of country offices through a support network composed of a multidisciplinary group of professionals; and it establishes partnerships with other regional and international organizations who share a commitment to promote democratic dialogue world-wide.
